When the counting of the diaspora vote was over, Socialist leader Edi Rama sent a message of thanks to those who competed in Tirana.
Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu provided this message, where Rama begins with the words "today the counting of diaspora votes has also ended, so the elections are over and I want to share a few words with you, as much as this window allows."
Rama further emphasizes the victory, which he calls historic in Albania, when he says that "I want to thank you all for the experience of an unforgettable political battle, where each and every one did their best and where the common result will remain in the political history of Albania, and of course in the history of the Socialist Party, as a very special success. Thank you"!
He dedicated a few words specifically to those who competed on the open lists and said:
"I want to warmly congratulate all those who, on the open battlefield, tried with all their might and became an added strength of the Socialist Party in every territory"!
"Congratulations with all my heart to those who managed to join the team of the next legislature," emphasizes the leader of the socialists.
Further in this message he says:
"To all those who did not succeed, I say very sincerely that they should not only be proud of their precious part in the victory of the Socialist Party, but also convinced that on the path that continues, with the historic superchallenge of Albania's membership in the EU, their contribution will be very necessary."
"Therefore, keep your heads up, all sisters and brothers, there are no losers here, only winners!"
Edi Rama ends the message with these words:
Wishing you a few days of peace with your families and children – may God bless them for all the burdens they bear – I embrace you all with the promise that we will not sit back and gather in person, not for some great celebration, but for the taste of a well-deserved family joy like this that only we know how much we have worked and strived to achieve.
The message ends with a heart-shaped emoji and the number 5.
