'There are irregularities', Aulon Kalaja: There was vote trafficking

The heavy defeat of the DP in the May 11 elections and the victory of the SP were the focus of discussions on the show '5 Questions from Bababramo', tonight on Report TV.

The Democratic Party candidate in the Durrës Region in the May 11 elections, Aulon Kalaja, has stated that he has opposed the May 11 election results and that he has obtained video footage of the voting centers, where, according to him, irregularities were also noticed.

'I have contested the election results and have requested to receive the footage. I have received them now and my staff is analyzing the footage. I have requested the footage of both political entities and candidates and we will take it to the CEC. And from that footage, vote trafficking was captured, and the switch from the DP to the SP. We do not have time because they have given us a few days. I received the footage after a long ordeal and I will deal with this work to see the entire process. I will go to the end of this story,' he said.

Kalaja has stated that the results of the May 11 elections in the Durrës region were manipulated by criminal groups. According to him, two candidates in this region are linked to organized crime.

'I told SPAK to put my phone on wiretapping to see if I bought votes or not. I saw that two gangs took over two candidates and filled them with votes in the Durrës district. They received 21 thousand votes each, why did I get so many votes. I campaigned in Fushë Krujë and came out as the person with the most votes. Were there gangs, yes there were, but in the Durrës district the gangs that moved there had a large presence. There are two candidates linked to organized crime,' he said.
