The leader of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, has accused Lulzim Basha of abandoning the Albanian vote in 2021.
Berisha stressed that Basha sent a shameful report to international observers, abandoning Albanians and starting a process within the party to forget the elections.
" I'm taking Lulzim Basha. The day after the elections (2021) I wrote to him; The vote died before it entered the box.
What did I do? I said that these people took it in these ways. Our task is to protect the vote. The truth is that international observers made a completely objective report in 2021. Lulzim Basha, instead of dealing with what happened during the elections, started the process in the party. The analyses of the things that the elections were forgotten about.
The most unacceptable thing was that he ultimately submitted a shameful report of several pages to the observers, and when they saw that it amounted to nothing, they watered down the report.
There was no other way than to turn his back on the electoral farce.
"If Lulzim Basha were to stand behind that vote, and I told him in that article, the party's analysis should be done after that. But first, the international action had to be done. I knew him well and I had done it without success ," emphasized the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha on "Syri TV".
