Berisha warned of hunger strike by DP deputies, Gjiknuri: There is nothing new,

Socialist MP Damian Gjiknuri commented on the statement of Democratic leader Sali Berisha, who did not rule out the possibility of going on a hunger strike.

According to Gjiknuri, there is nothing new here, as every time the opposition loses elections, it contests them, turning this into a recurring refrain.

Speaking about Berisha on the show 'Log.', Gjiknuri said that he entered the campaign from the beginning as a loser, creating a team full of loyalists and making choices that did not serve a real race.

"There is a constant refrain here, the opposition loses the elections, contests the elections. This happened in 2017, in 2021, this is happening now, this has also happened in local elections. Generally, the loser contests the elections.

This is in the culture of Albanian political parties that the leaderships, in order to maintain their positions, do not see the problem in themselves, but directly say it was stolen. I do not see anything new. Rama at that time said he demands transparency. He accepted the result, he only demanded transparency. However, the culture of accepting the result is weak.

In Albania, parties have had this. But in the case of Berisha it is more pronounced, because from the beginning he played as a loser. From the way he lined up the team that gathered the most of his loyalists and the second thing that impressed me is that he paid 6 million dollars at the height of the campaign to clear his name. If you are the winner, you are automatically cleared and you have removed the women's name", said Gjiknuri.
