Kim Mehmeti

Writer Kim Mehmeti addressed a message to the protesters in Tirana, who have been demanding the resignation of Edi Rama as Prime Minister for 11 days.

The civic revolt is against the political class of 36 years, while "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" is the cry that accompanies the protesters.

In his message, writer Kim Mehmeti praises the engagement of young people in the protest, describing their voice as a source of hope not only for Albania, but for all Albanians.

He says that youth are doing what many others have not been able to do over the years, by raising their voices against injustices and demanding accountability from the government.

The writer emphasizes that young people have the right to demand responsibility from previous generations for the state of the country.

"I am here to convey a message from North Macedonia. Do not let the mockers show who you are. I bow to your voice, which is the best medicine for all-Albanian hope."

Don't give up, because if you are against development, the decision will be made by those who stole the country for 35 years or by the media that panders to the oligarchs?

Your voice embodies the call of Albanians everywhere. Albania belongs to you more than to us who could not protect it from thieves and extortionists, as you should not forget that Albanianness has not had so many atrocities. You have the right to judge us for stealing your future. You are my heroes! ", said Kim Mehmeti, in the message that was read at the beginning of the protest.
