The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has launched strong accusations against the director of police, Ilir Proda. While he focused on the SPAK investigation into the AKSHI, where it is suspected that a businessman was taken hostage to withdraw from tenders, Berisha accused Proda of covering up the incident. According to him, he is more criminal than criminals.
" No one ever found out about this. Such a secret. Why so secret? I'll tell you why it's a secret. That there is a criminal at the head of the police. A criminal. Worse than any other criminal in Albania. And his name is Ilirian Proda. I'll tell you, friends. Edi Rama has removed two ministers for this. You should know this and let the Albanians know. I have no sympathy for either one. He removed them because he told them, you have no business with the police. The police do not exist for you. So they had the keys to the safe that I was attacking in the media up and down. Frankly, you have no business, because we have Proda there, a criminal ," Berisha said at the National Council meeting.
He then stopped at the arrest of the former Anti-Terrorist officer, who was linked to gangs. According to him, he has proven that he did everything on Proda's orders.
" A few weeks ago, Albanians should know. One Igli Haxhiaj, an anti-terror officer, testified that everything I did was done on the orders of the Director General of Police. Everything I did was done on the orders of the Director General of Police ," Berisha continued.
From the hall where the DP National Council meeting is being held, the democratic leader, Sali Berisha, has warned Prime Minister Edi Rama not to dare to touch justice.
Berisha said that the opposition would not allow Edi Rama to violate even the small independence that the judiciary has.
"I am telling Rama that he will face serious consequences if he dares to affect even the small independence that the justice system has," Berisha said.
He said that Edi Rama is capable of doing anything to stay in power, while adding that now it is the opposition's turn.
" It's our time. The Democrats' time until he leaves. There is no other alternative. Look how it turned out. The man who started the government by appearing from screen to screen with bars in his hands, telling citizens with bars that they hadn't paid a single electricity or water bill.
The man who screamed from screen to screen to arrest Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta, etc., now caught red-handed, uses all his criminal power to protect himself.
Edi Rama is capable of a coup.
He has all the powers, but he is capable of destroying even this effort that justice is making.
If you heard what he said: we will not pass this over like other cases, but we will conduct an in-depth analysis, I say this as the leader of justice reform.
We will also tell him, dare.
We will absolutely do everything in our power to prevent you from taking that minimal power of justice.
"We cannot accept a bandit, a thief, a man who has done more harm to Albanians than any other invader ," Berisha said.
This stance of Berisha in relation to justice comes at a time when SPAK has requested authorization from the Parliament regarding Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who has been named as a defendant in the 'Llogara' tunnel case, while the Constitutional Court has suspended the decision of the GJKKO, which decided to suspend her from government duties.
But Berisha on the other hand is the politician who has accused the new judiciary the most, especially the acting head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, but also the former head of GJKKO, Irena Gjoka. Surprisingly, regarding the elected head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, he considered it simply as an election in accordance with the Constitution.
The Democratic Party has started the National Council meeting with an urgent call from its chairman Sali Berisha, who asked that all the energies of the political force be focused on confronting what he described as a "criminal organization that stinks all over the world." Berisha declared that due to the emergency situation, the agenda planned for today's meeting will be postponed, to make way for the preparation of a clear political response to the Rama government.
" We are forced, due to the emergency situation created, to postpone the agenda planned for today to another meeting in the near future and to focus all of us on preparing the response we must give to this rot that stinks throughout the world ," Berisha said in his speech to the members of the Council.
He harshly accused the government, saying that Edi Rama is willing to violate every law, every norm and every morality just to keep power. " This is a criminal organization that has no constitution, no law, no morality. Rama is capable of doing anything to stay in power. Now is our turn, it is our hour. The hour of the democrats lies in his departure. There is no other alternative ," Berisha declared in high tones.
Sali Berisha: We are forced, due to the emergency situation created, to postpone the agenda planned for today to another meeting in the near future, and to focus all of us on preparing the response we must give to this rot that stinks throughout the world.
This criminal organization that has no constitution, no law, and no morals. And which is capable of doing anything.
Edi Rama is capable of doing anything to stay in power.
Now is our turn. It is our hour. The Democrats' hour lies in his departure. We have no, there is no other alternative.
At today's meeting of the DP National Council, Ilir Alimehmeti, one of the critical voices within the DP, is also present.
Alimehmeti is sitting at the end of the hall where the DP National Council meeting is being held, the first after the May 11 elections.
Meanwhile, the absence of Ervin Salianj is noticeable, who chose to continue the meeting agenda.
We recall that Alimehmeti began meetings with Salianj a few days ago as part of efforts to reenergize the Democratic Party.
The National Council meeting began a few minutes ago at the Democratic Party headquarters, in a tense atmosphere and with clear signals of internal clashes.
The leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, in his opening speech, harshly attacked the electoral process in Albania, calling it a “farce organized by the electoral state.” He also attacked voices within the DP.
Sali Berisha: Those who talk about elections in essence and intentionally or unintentionally, justify the farce. Because for every citizen, for every individual, for every politician who has a clear understanding of the electoral process, he knows that if the competition takes place between the electoral state and political parties, it is not a competition, but a farce. For those who, again in the absence of electoral culture or for other reasons, think differently, I say again that if the government organizes in violation of the law, spending on every event, organizing 4533 activities, including the voting day, 7 million Giro d'Italia, it is not holding elections, it is holding a farce and thereby violating international principles, fundamental principles.
" We are people of our word and we keep our word: first, with Edi Rama there is no choice, I have said it and I say it again. Second, we have told Albanians that we will defend the vote, and we defended the vote ," said Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha at the meeting of the DP National Council.
Berisha addressed the members of the National Council with an explanation because the meeting of this forum was not called for 7 months, emphasizing that the focus was on proving the electoral crime, protecting the opposition vote. According to Berisha, international resolutions show that the DP and its allies have protected the vote, which was distorted on May 11.
He said that the May 11 campaign was the most excellent campaign in the entire history of the DP, we had the architect of President Trump's victory, it was the campaign with the best program of this party and it was the campaign with the greatest support we had from the center-right party organizations.
Berisha said that on May 11 there were no elections, but an electoral farce.
"Those who want to blame the opposition for the farce are making a big mistake, in substance and in essence, and intentionally or unintentionally justify the farce," Berisha said.
In his speech, Berisha reiterated the denunciations he has made before regarding the activities of Edi Rama and his Government during the campaign, violating the rules for fair elections.
Ervin Salianji is not expected to be part of the meeting.
The meeting of the DP National Council is expected to be accompanied by tensions, triggered by recent developments in the blue headquarters.
Meanwhile, it has been learned that the protagonist of these clashes, member of the DP National Council, Ervin Salianji, is not expected to be part of the meeting.
Salianji is on the ground holding meetings with Democrats.
The National Council of the Democratic Party will meet today for the first time after the defeat suffered in the May 11 parliamentary elections.
The agenda includes discussions on the political situation in the country, the Belinda Balluku issue, and the national protest announced for December 22.
Among other things, today Berisha also announced the expulsion of former MP Ervin Salianji, whom he accused of collaborating with crime figures for organizing yesterday's meeting with citizens in this city.
Salianji is a member of the National Council and he has emerged as the strongest critic of the DP leadership in recent weeks, even taking the initiative of 'Poltore' or meetings with the democrats' base. So far, Salianji has held 3 meetings: Durrës, Gjirokastër and Elbasan, while the democrat leader has held meetings in some of the DP branches in Tirana, Elbasan and Mirdita...
The Democratic Party has convened its National Council, its first meeting since its defeat in the May 11 elections.
The National Council is meeting at a time when debates are taking place within the DP regarding how this party has reacted to the defeat, but also on the eve of the first national protest since May 11.
The National Council meeting is expected to be accompanied by debates, while in the last 24 hours, accusations have intensified between Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka on one side, and Ervin Salianji on the other.
Berisha is expected to repeat the accusations against Salijanj, continuing to lead the DP with an iron fist, while the member of the DP Presidency will not be part of the meeting.
Salianji justified his absence from the National Council meeting with the fact that he is continuing his round of meetings with Democrats at the party's base.
Salianji is a member of the National Council and he has emerged as the strongest critic of the DP leadership in recent weeks, even taking the initiative of 'Speakers' or meetings with the democrats' base. So far, Salianji has held 3 meetings: Durrës, Gjirokastër and Elbasan, while the democrat leader has held meetings in some of the DP branches in Tirana, Elbasan and Mirdita.
Berisha has accused Salianji of a personal agenda, which does not serve the DP but the Government, while the member of the Presidency has articulated strong accusations mainly towards Flamur Noka, Secretary General of the DP.
An amendment is also expected to be presented at the National Council meeting, bearing the signatures of 17 members of this forum, which aims to prevent individuals who have received tenders from the Government or funding from Soros from being in the leadership of the DP.
Also, the National Council meeting may reopen a series of issues in the largest opposition party, referring to the fact that at least 20 members of the highest leadership forum of the DP, if they take the floor and articulate their public criticisms, could cause a 'shock' in the leadership of this party. /Pamphlet/
