Four Chinese nationals have been arrested by police, accused of practicing prostitution.
One of them, suspected of being the organizer of a prostitution ring, had rented a two-story villa in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, Durrës, which was adapted for the exercise of this illegal activity.
A British citizen, a collaborator in organizing the network, has also been declared wanted, while 10 other citizens, including two Chinese and eight Albanians, have been criminally prosecuted. The operation led to the seizure of passports, money, bank cards and other material evidence.
"The police operation codenamed "Storm 4" is being finalized by the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Sector, after an investigation using proactive methods.
They had rented a two-story villa and adapted it for practicing prostitution, 4 Chinese citizens were arrested, one of them the organizer of this activity.
The other organizer of this event, an English citizen, is being sought.
10 citizens are being prosecuted, 2 of them Chinese citizens and 8 Albanian citizens.
Sums of money, cell phones, and bank cards are seized.
The Trafficking Investigation Section, after a two-week investigation with proactive methods for the criminal offenses "Exploitation of prostitution", "Prostitution" and "Adaptation of premises for prostitution", in cooperation with the Durrës Police Commissariat and the "Eagle" Special Force, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, finalized the operation codenamed "Storm 4".
As a result of this operation, in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, Durrës, the arrest of Chinese citizen F. ë., 46 years old, was made for the criminal offense of "Exploitation of prostitution", who is suspected of being the leader and organizer of this prostitution network.
Also arrested were 3 other Chinese citizens LM, 55 years old, L. Ch., 49 years old, and Zh. H., 47 years old, for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
As part of the operation, 2 Chinese citizens and 8 Albanian citizens were prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
Also, citizen KP, 46 years old, resident of the United Kingdom, was declared wanted, suspected of the criminal offense of "Adapting premises for prostitution".
As material evidence, 6 passports of Chinese citizens, amounts of money in euros and dollars, several bank cards and phone cards, etc. were seized.
The investigative actions carried out within the framework of this proceeding resulted in the Chinese nationals having adapted a two-story villa, rented, in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, Durrës, from the English national, in collaboration with the 46-year-old Chinese woman, and having adapted it with the intention of engaging in prostitution.
Investigations are continuing in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office as it is suspected that there are other citizens involved in this activity, which is suspected to be headquartered abroad, from where the calls were made via the call center.
"The materials were passed to the Durrës General Jurisdiction Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
