Greek police have seized laptops, tablets and mobile phones during a search conducted today at the two shops where the young man arrested for the murder of the Albanian and the owner of the campsite in Finikounda had worked.
The checks were carried out by order of the investigator in both Athens and Finikounda, while a total of two tablets, two laptops and mobile phones belonging to the grandson of the campsite owner, his partner and the businessman were seized.
In addition to the investigation, another unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, with the support of the Kalamata police, conducted a search at the campsite and at the home of the victim's nephew. The nephew's partner was called to the police and handed over her mobile phone.
The businessman is the first person the victim's nephew contacted immediately after his uncle's murder. The nephew managed to escape the bullets, while he was present at the crime scene. The two arrested young men have presented their claims regarding their participation in the crime, with one blaming the other, adding that the young man entered the scene of the crime on the fateful night.
The other 22-year-old supports his first statement, that he is not the author of this serial murder. The murder of the Albanian and the owner of the campsite occurred on the evening of October 5 in Finikounda, Messinia. One of the defendants has stated that the owner of the campsite had sexually abused him when he was 18 years old.
