Today on the show "Albania Live" the aunt of Sulo Halili, the Albanian who was killed and burned in a car in Greece, was invited. She confessed that Sulo had been married to his wife, Esmeralda, for 4 years and had two children, one of them 40 days old.
According to her, Sulo's daughter-in-law had a previous relationship and after they broke up, she got involved with her nephew. After this, her ex-partner's uncle threatened Sulo with the words "I will burn you alive", because according to them, he took his nephew's daughter-in-law.
She then added that the victim was not a conflicted person and last spoke to his partner who was going somewhere for a patent issue. His partner Esmeralda gave her testimony to the police and did not speak to anyone else. She also added that Sulo's mother is in good health, alive, after some media reported that the latter had suffered a heart attack.
"We don't know what happened, the lawyer hasn't said anything concrete and we don't know exactly what happened. Sulo has two children, a girl and a boy, 40 days and 4 years old, and 4 years of marriage to his wife. I don't know exactly, but I know that he was threatened by the uncle of Esmeralda's ex-boyfriend, I know that, but there was no other connection with this person who had a boyfriend. He told Sulo: "I'll burn you alive, because you took our nephew's bride," but she was divorced and there was no connection when they got engaged to Sulo. But we don't know if he did this, or if it's something else, we're waiting for an answer.
I'm not sure, but the threats were made by phone. The family didn't know anything, they found out later. The police haven't given anything concrete, they're investigating, they're questioning the family with everything they find, but we're still waiting for a conclusion. Esmeralda hasn't spoken to anyone since she was born and had surgery for her son, she's not in a position. My niece took me and told me that Sulo had been missing since the 5th, and on Sunday I found out that the DNA said it was Sulo. He told his wife that he was going to meet an owner about a patent issue, which he went somewhere, half an hour away from where he was, and after that he had no contact with his wife or relatives.
