The Court of Appeal has lifted the 'house arrest' measure against businesswoman Elisabeta Dosti.
Dosti was sentenced by the Court to 'house arrest', under suspicion of having illegally appropriated and transferred the assets of a privatized company, benefiting over 1 million euros from other shareholders.
In an official announcement from the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that she was suspected of "Forgery of documents" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity."
Following today's decision by the Court of Appeal, Dosti states that: This decision constitutes a clear act of justice and overturns the basis on which the public accusations were built.
"I have not committed any illegal act, I have not embezzled property, I have not forged documents, and I have not harmed anyone's interests. Any claims to the contrary have been unfounded," she declares.
