The Korça Court has released from prison 27-year-old Kevi Muçollari, who was arrested a few days ago after a fight in the Pogradec Municipality.
It is learned that the Korça Court has deemed his arrest illegal, ordering his release from prison.
We recall that during a Municipal Council meeting with the presence of citizens, Kevi Muçollari physically attacked one of the council members.
The fight between them began after the approval of the list of 34,660 hectares of land in Çërrava that can be rented. According to witnesses, councilor Engjëll Shyti got up from the table and physically confronted Kevi Muçllari, one of the representatives of the residents of Çërrava.
After the incident, Kevi Muçllari spoke to the media, explaining that the moment of irritation came after the decision was approved and that they were threatened by councilor Engjëll Shyti.
"As you saw yourself, there was a moment of tension because Engjëll Shyti, a councilor, stood up and threatened us because of what I said, a moment of irritation, tension. It is understood that after the approval of the decision, we were totally against it," he said, adding that the situation was calm until the moment when the mayor described the objections as "whimsical."
Muçllari stated that the residents and their representatives will not leave the matter at that, warning of legal action.
