The phenomenon of police elements turning into criminal escorts is becoming a major concern, raising strong doubts about the integrity of the blue uniforms. Journalist Dritan Laci said that repeated cases show that the underworld not only has advance information about police operations, but in some cases seems to be accompanied and protected by the very people who are supposed to fight it.
This alarming situation has led to the perception of the State Police as a structure that serves crime, rather than fighting it. This dark connection cannot be explained simply as a coincidence, but as a deep and systematic problem.
At the center of the debate lies a fundamental question: are we dealing with an infiltration of the criminal world within the ranks of the police, or with a collaboration approved by consensus by the top leaders? The dilemma is whether these police officers act as infiltrators of criminal groups, or have they been deliberately assigned by their superiors as "envoys" to these groups, thus legitimizing an illegal relationship.
The specific case of AMP agent Muço Sheqeri, who was seriously injured in the assassination attempt on Gilmando Dani, who served only three months in the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), serves as a blatant example. To become part of such an important structure, it is required to pass several filters and obtain security certificates. The fact that he managed to enter the AMP shows that he had the approval and "direction" of his leaders.
"To take him, is to accompany him, to accompany him in... You will go with him, to come with him. This is called escorting in this case. But this is not the only case. We are talking about the state police. At least in these four years that I have been dealing with crime files, there are countless cases, let's say that the information that crime has today is always a few steps ahead of that of the state police. That is to say, I have the impression that the state police itself has become a kind of escort for crime, because it cannot be explained otherwise.
"That is, the case showed that, we are talking about the event, about Muço Sheqeri in this case, the AMP agent. The case showed us that he was only three months old, that is, he was in the AMP. So in the police surveillance agency. That means that there you will go through some... Yes, he took them, he took them with, let's say, with the direction of his leaders. Do you understand? Who, because look now, there is also an element here. It is enough that these had done what we call 'gugìllim' of the character Muço Sheqeri himself and he had a clash in 2011. There was a clash with the one who was then the Minister of the Interior after 2013 with Saimir Tahiri," said Dritan Laci.
