An Albanian has managed to escape from Korydallos prison in Greece. The alarm about his escape was raised at 09:00 on Tuesday morning.
According to information reported by Greek media, the fugitive is a 48-year-old man of Albanian origin, who was serving a multi-year prison sentence for offenses related to drug trafficking.
The prisoner escaped from the central materials warehouse inside the penitentiary institution. He allegedly took advantage of the opening of the warehouse door and the carelessness of the staff, who had opened it, to remove the waste.
Police have launched a search to locate and capture the fugitive.
