3 hours and 30 minutes to the Peak of Korra, Armand Shakaj's terrifying
Victims Eglant Koçi and Armand Shakaj

After executing Eglant Koçi with a bullet to the head in his bar and offices near the "Ismail Qemali" school in Tirana on June 4, Armand Shakaj the next day, June 5, also carried out the disappearance of the body, using a well-thought-out plan in detail like a cold-blooded killer. He put Koçi's lifeless body in his "Porche" car, which he sent by truck to the village of Ibë, with the aim of losing track. Shakaj told the truck driver that he was sending the car to the service station.

He then traveled from Iba towards the village of Cerrujë, an area he knew very well as he often frequented it for motorcycle rallies. This is also shown by the route he followed, as he walked along roads that only residents of the area know. Shakaj used the road to the village of Mollagjesh, then continued to Funar and then entered the forest in mountainous terrain to get to Cerrujë.

"Armand Shakaj was not stopped by the difficult mountainous terrain, the forested and steep area to reach his final destination, to remove the body of his friend Eglant Koçi. Shakaj walked for three hours and 30 minutes in a difficult mountainous area to reach the Top of Korra."

A road that requires you to know well due to the difficulties created by the forested terrain, but Armand Shakaj took his criminal plan to the end, driving to the highest point, Maja e Korrës.

There he then removed the young man's lifeless body from the car and threw it into the forest, in an area where he was convinced it would never be found. "Behind my back is the abyss where 41-year-old Armand Shakaj threw the body of his friend, Eglant Koçi."

Criminology experts say that there is no perfect crime and that a trace will always remain in this case. Shakaj was betrayed by his mobile phone, because even though he had thrown it away later, the police, through IMSI Chatcher, managed to find out where it had last pulsed. Also, investigators provided information on the operational route that Shakaj's car had been seen by shepherds in the area passing through the villages of Mollagjesh, Funar and Cërroje. For this reason, the search was focused on this area. For about 10 days, the police stayed in these villages, conducting numerous ground and air checks, until the moment when the drone spotted a body in Maja e Korrës, which belonged to Eglant Koç.

After Koçi's body was dumped, Shakaj followed another route to leave, different from the one he came from, he left through the village of Funar towards the villages of Bixëlle, Balëz and Bradashesh and then to Tirana. After arriving in Tirana, ironically, he was called to be questioned by police station no. 2 because after checking the telephone records of Eglant Koçi's number, it turned out that Shakaj was the last person he had communicated with. When questioned, Shakaj gave false testimony, stating that he had no knowledge of his friend. Even after leaving the police station, he ran into Eglant Koçi's friends and family on the street, to whom he said that they had asked if he had any knowledge and that he was very worried and that when Eglant returned home, they should tell him to call them because he had become worried. Two days later, after intensive investigations, the police discovered that Shakaj, who had "become concerned" about his friend, was also the author of the murder and disappearance of the body.

"This was the entire scenario of this serious event that shocked the entire public opinion. A crime story that resembles a complete crime scenario."/ A2CNN
