A 23-year-old Albanian man has ended up in the hands of the Carabinieri in Cesena, Italy, suspected of possession and distribution of narcotics.
The arrest was made during an anti-drug operation near the train station area, after police had received reports of a person distributing cocaine on a motorcycle in various areas of the city, including near consumers' homes.
After the young man was arrested, the carabinieri carried out a search and found 32 doses of cocaine weighing a total of around 17 grams. According to the investigation, the drugs were hidden inside a mobile phone charger, where a special space had been created after the electrical circuit had been removed.
The 23-year-old was also seized with around 1,000 euros in cash, which are suspected to be proceeds from illegal activity.
The judge of the Court of Forlì confirmed the arrest and, accepting the request for a joint application of the sentence, sentenced the 23-year-old to two years in prison.
