Quarrel over a road in Drilon: Hotel owner and Tushemisht mayor clash physically

A long-running conflict over the ownership of a road in the tourist area of Driloni in Pogradec has ended in a physical clash, bringing four people, including well-known names in the area, under investigation. The incident took place near the Driloni park, where the owner of the “Driloni” hotel, Jetmir Muçllari, along with his 26-year-old son, Johan Muçllari, the headman of the village of Tushemisht, Ilirjan Tasellari, and another person, Prokop Pilinçi, physically clashed.

Official sources indicate that the clash was the result of an earlier conflict over a road located near the border of the mayor's property. Businessman Muçllari claimed ownership of the road and erected a fence around the disputed section, which has caused tensions to escalate.

Chief Tasellari has previously reported the case to the police, but it appears that the lack of effective intervention has led to the situation worsening. The physical clash is just the latest episode in a series of incidents that have occurred between the parties over the years.

The incident has drawn the attention of local authorities, who have launched investigations to determine legal responsibilities and clearly establish the ownership status of the road that led to the collision. The incident once again highlights the problem of unclear property rights and the weak role of institutions in resolving local conflicts.
