The 40-year-old man with two names has been arrested by the Shkodra police after being declared an international wanted person by Italy. Endrit Feraru alias Endri Cufi is accused of drug trafficking.
The 40-year-old is expected to be extradited to Italy after the Rimini prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant in February 2025 for participation in a criminal organization for drug trafficking. This criminal offense carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
"A citizen declared internationally wanted for participation in a criminal organization for drug trafficking is arrested in Shkodra and put in handcuffs for the purpose of extradition to Italy."
The structures of the Special Operations Force Directorate at the Criminal Police Department, based on information obtained through operational means, located, captured and arrested citizen EF alias EC, 40 years old, resident of Shkodra.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Rimini Prosecutor's Office, Italy, issued an arrest warrant against him in February 2025 for participation in a criminal organization for drug trafficking. For this criminal offense, the Italian Criminal Code provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
"In cooperation with the Italian authorities, legal procedures for the extradition of this citizen are ongoing ," the police announced.
