
Erzen (Hamza) Uka was one of two people who was trapped and armed in an apartment in Orosh, and surrendered after several hours of negotiations, while surrounded by police and RENEA forces.
I served as a commando in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In April 2019, he was arrested by the Anti-Terror Service on suspicion of radical tendencies and incitement of hatred with the aim of committing terrorist acts. Uka was considered a high-risk person, and had been under surveillance since 2007.
In September 2020, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison by the Tirana court on charges of "Incitement, public call and propaganda for the commission of acts with terrorist purposes" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."

After his arrest, Uka threatened Judge Bib Ndreca and Prosecutor Eugen Beci, warning them that they would be held accountable as soon as he was released from prison.
He was arrested for publishing videos on Facebook with extremist content and training children with the intention of sending them as ISIS fighters.
