New details are emerging regarding the tense situation in Orosh i Puka, where two young men were locked in an apartment for several hours and refused to respond to police orders to surrender. Only after lengthy negotiations with one of their family members did they agree to come out.
According to information provided to the media, during the search of the apartment, three firearms and a quantity of combat ammunition were seized.
The two people who were arrested, Hamza Uka and Julian Çumraku, have not given statements to the police, while one of them has a superficial wound on his thigh.
Hamza Uka is suspected of having self-inflicted injuries in order to press charges against the police for shooting him.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the police had launched an operation yesterday morning to control premises suspected of cannabis cultivation.
As the patrol approached the house, the two armed young men reportedly issued a threatening warning, saying they would open fire if the police continued to approach: Don't come any closer or I'll kill you!
