A mafia attack took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Rinas roundabout, where the victim was Gilmando Dani, while Muçi Shaljani Sheqeri was injured. They were traveling in a Mercedes Clas type vehicle, when they were shot at by another blue Toyota vehicle with foreign license plates. This vehicle was found a few minutes after the crime burning, while firearms were also found inside it, which have been sent for inspection to the criminology laboratory.
Police have collected footage from security cameras, while Syri TV journalist Klajdi Bodlli has revealed new details about the incident. According to him, referring to the security camera footage, one of the perpetrators was wearing clothing similar to those of the police.
Bodlli said that he got out of the Toyota vehicle and approached the car where the victim and the injured person were.
"From what can be seen in the video, the Mercedes C-Class vehicle in which the victim and the injured were located approaches the Rinas roundabout, while shooting begins from a dark blue Toyota vehicle. Shots can be heard in the video.
A few seconds later, a white Benz stops for a few seconds and then turns and stops at the white lines of the Rinas roundabout.
Meanwhile, inside the roundabout, the perpetrators' Toyota vehicle stops, where one of them gets out of the passenger door of this vehicle and approaches the Mercedes C-Class, opens the passenger door and shoots several times with a firearm.
At this moment, from the vehicle where Dani and Shaljani (Sheqeri) were, there is a counterattack against the perpetrator of the murder, by shooting. The flames of the weapons are visible coming out of the C-Class vehicle.
The perpetrator, masked and wearing a police uniform, left and got into a Toyota vehicle, which immediately headed towards Fushë-Krujë, following the Vorë-Fushë-Krujë road. The vehicle was later found burned in the village of Halilaj by police and firefighters.
The police found 4 firearms in the car, but at first the police did not approach because the bullets continued to explode from the fire of the vehicle. The video footage clearly shows the entire dynamics of the incident: at least one perpetrator got out of the Toyota and another remained in place.
Shots are heard before the Mercedes C-Class vehicle stops at the white lines of the roundabout. The vehicle approaches, stops and the masked perpetrator, wearing blue clothing resembling a police uniform, opens the door of the C-Class vehicle and shoots several times.
"They fight back. It is not yet known if the perpetrator was injured, but he leaves, bowing, gets into the Toyota and leaves towards the Vorë-Fushë-Krujë road," the journalist says.
