Security expert, Fatjon Softa, has described the criminal incident in which Gilmando Dani was killed and Muçi Shaljani (Sheqeri) was injured, as a classic and well-organized assassination.
During an interview with RTSH 24, Softa said that the perpetrators had information about the victim's movements and were prepared to eliminate him.
Softa added that one of the perpetrators fired at close range, which is evident from the trajectory of the bullets, indicating the professionalism and danger of the incident.
"It is a serious incident, the form of organization is a classic assassination. I think the incident is due to the victim's profile, against whom attempts were made to eliminate him twice and they succeeded today. The person comes by air from abroad and apparently the assassins had information about him. The fact that they left in the direction of Fushë Krujë shows that it is the most likely route to leave, and assassins generally head to that area. The assassin was at close range and this is seen from the trajectory of the bullets," said Softa.
The security expert also raised the alarm that the fact that the attack occurred at the main entrance to the country, in an area frequented by tourists, could have a serious impact on the image.
"It happened at the main tourism gateway and entrance to the country, Rinas airport, imagine the image that this serious event could have for tourism and it happened about 100 meters away from the security zone, near the airport of a NATO country," he said.
