A 28-year-old man has been arrested by police after robbing a vehicle inside a parking lot in Astir.
28-year-old Andi Metani, a resident of Tirana, after stealing the vehicle, fled towards "Bajram Curri" Boulevard.
When located by the Police, he did not obey the restraining order and attempted to leave.
"He stole a vehicle in Astir, was caught red-handed by the Police services, driving away with the stolen vehicle, and the 28-year-old was arrested.
The stolen vehicle is seized.
The services of the Special Force "Eagle", in cooperation with the services of the Police Commissariat No. 6, as a result of the investigative actions carried out to solve the thefts, identify and capture the perpetrators, based on the report of a citizen, for the theft of her vehicle, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Short time".
As a result of this operation, citizen AM, 28 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested and handcuffed.
This citizen, on 17.07.2025, is suspected of having stolen a parked vehicle in Astir and driving away with it towards "Bajram Curri" Boulevard. At the time of his location by the Police, he did not obey the stop order and attempted to leave, but was stopped by Police officers.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, the police announced.
