New details have emerged from the robbery recorded on Tuesday morning inside a bank in Tirana.
According to preliminary information, the perpetrator followed an elderly woman who was going to the bank to make a deposit. After she entered the premises of the financial institution, he came up behind her and threatened her with an object that allegedly resembled a weapon.
Under threat, he took the amount of money that the elderly woman had with her to hand over to the cash register. After the robbery, the perpetrator immediately left the scene.
Preliminary sources indicate that he was wearing a helmet and used a scooter to escape, which has made his identification difficult.
The police have launched investigations and set up several checkpoints in different areas of the capital, while working to locate and arrest the suspect.
