A robbery occurred today inside a second-tier bank in Tirana.
According to preliminary information, the masked perpetrator entered the bank premises and, allegedly by threatening an object that appeared to be a weapon, took the money from the citizen who was depositing it, then left the scene.
The amount stolen is still unclear, while it is reported that the perpetrator fled the scene on a scooter while wearing a motorcycle helmet.
Numerous police forces have arrived in the area and are working to identify and capture the perpetrator, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
"Around 12:26, on "Gjin Bue Shpata" street, a masked citizen entered the premises of a bank and, it is suspected that by threatening an object that appeared to be a weapon, he took a sum of money.
Immediately after receiving the notification, checkpoints were set up and all police services were directed to identify and capture the perpetrator.
"The investigation team is working to identify the perpetrator and document the case," the police announced.
