Journalist Lutfi Dervishi, commenting on the civic protest, which entered its 19th day this Thursday, emphasized that in these three weeks, protests have been held for three terms by the opposition.
According to Dervishi, in addition to the message to the government, the protesters are also sending a message to the opposition, old or new parties, in which they do not feel represented.
Invited to the show "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli on A2CNN, Dervishi metaphorically described the protest as a "bank of anger", where everyone has thrown their coins, creating a capital that cannot be ignored.
"19 days of protest. This is a record in the history of the Albanian state. 19 days of continuous, uninterrupted protest has never happened before. The massiveness, the composition, the young people, the energy they have. The only thing you don't see in the protests is fatigue. There is even an energy that unfolds. The protest is after the speeches end and after all the cameras leave. It is a misreading by the opposition for the first 5 days, and a misreading by the government for the first 15 days. This is the bank of anger, where everyone has thrown their coins and a capital has been created that cannot be ignored. These are people who do not find themselves represented. This group of young people speak with neither one nor the other. The message is the pressure for change. It is a message of change for everyone. It is not for nothing that it has been called the most beautiful protest, as it has brought Albania into the light extremely well. There is a better image of Albania at all levels.
"The opposition has been stigmatized, for not protesting, for not doing anything, but look what has happened in three weeks, they have protested for three opposition mandates. It is a message for the opposition itself, all these unrepresented people, why haven't they found themselves represented ," the journalist continued on A2CNN.
