Footage of the armed robbery of a jewelry store in Kamëz has been published, an event that has caused panic and concern among residents of the area.
According to a police report, the robbery occurred around 1:00 p.m., when two people entered the jewelry store and took valuables. One of the perpetrators was also carrying a firearm during the robbery.
The footage shows the perpetrators speeding away on a motorbike. One of them is holding a gun in his hand, while the other is carrying a bag full of gold items taken in the business.
The incident has terrorized citizens, as one of the perpetrators appeared with a weapon outside the jewelry store, in an area frequented by residents.
"On 16.05.2026, at around 13:00, in Kamëz, two still unidentified citizens, one of whom is suspected of carrying an object that appears to be a firearm, entered the premises of the jewelry store owned by citizen O. L, and took a quantity of jewelry.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services went to the scene, set up checkpoints and are conducting checks of the area.
"The investigative group is working to capture any evidence that will lead to the identification and capture of the perpetrators and the full documentation of the case," the police announced.
