The State Police has provided official information regarding the violence against 46-year-old Albert Pashaj, the owner of one of the hotels in Ksamil, who appeared bloodied after a conflict over beach umbrellas.
Police announced that they have arrested 3 people, including Agim Taraj, the owner of another business in the area, while a 17-year-old has also been released. They have been charged with 'intentional minor injury' committed in collaboration.
It is also reported that the wife of the 46-year-old injured man has also been criminally prosecuted, after causing material damage to the "beach bar" of one of the arrested.
"Following the full clarification of the circumstances of the conflict that occurred yesterday in Ksamil, and the full documentation of the event, with the aim of bringing the perpetrators to criminal responsibility, the Crime Investigation specialists at the Saranda Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Intentional Minor Injury", committed in collaboration, the following citizens:
AT, 43 years old, resident of Berat, SS, 18 years old, resident of Dibër and AZ, 35 years old, resident of Durrës.
Also, a minor citizen, 17 years old, resident of Kamëz, Tirana, was criminally prosecuted at large, due to his age.
The investigation revealed that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, for weak motives, hit citizen AP, 46 years old, resident of Tirana, with hard objects near a public beach in Ksamil, causing bodily harm.
Also, regarding this event, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "Destruction of Property" and criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen OP, 40 years old, because after the conflict this citizen damaged the environment by destroying equipment and other items in the "beach bar" of the arrested citizen AT.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action," the Police announced.
