Associate Justice Artan Tafani continues his testimony at the Special Court by confessing to the crimes committed.
With the evidence and having become a collaborator of justice, Tafani uncovered several criminal events committed by the group led by Laert Haxhiu.
In this Wednesday's hearing, Tafani revealed the preparation and execution of the plan to kill Albi Bashaliu. He emphasized that two cars were used for his execution.
"We used two cars for the murder. A white Audi and a Mercedes Benz. We left the Mercedes Benz at a flower shop on the highway. In Gjocaj, where the victim's apartment was, we went in the white Audi. After the murder, we went in the victim's car to the Mercedes Benz and fled to Tirana. We burned the victim's car, and on the way I dismantled the weapon," he said.
He claimed that he shot Bashali six times with a TT pistol, which he had bought for one million old lek from Bledar Berberi. According to him, Bashali was hit by two bullets in the chest and four others in the back.
"For the murder, we bought a TT type pistol for 1 million lek from Bledar Berberi. We also had another gun with very small cartridges that was not used in the murder. We ran out of TT cartridges, the moment the owner of the bar came out, I took out this small gun simply to scare him. I shot Bashali 6 times. I remember that I shot him 2 times in the chest and 4 times in the back," said Tafani.
