"Hands on your head, hands on your head", this was the call that civilian police agents issued to the people in a vehicle, concluding the operation codenamed 'Focus'.
The incident took place in Tirana and a video released by the Police shows agents running towards a vehicle, quickly opening the doors and asking the people inside to put their hands on their heads.
The operation was carried out on the Babrroi Bridge by the services of the Police Commissariat No. 4, while two people were detained. During the search of the vehicle, a pistol with combat ammunition was found in the passenger door, which was suspected to be held without a permit by citizen EM, 31 years old, who was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The firearm, vehicle, and two cell phones were seized as material evidence.
Also, the driver of the vehicle, citizen FB, 27 years old, was prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime." Both citizens are residents of Tirana.
The materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions. The police announce that such operations will continue with intensity to crack down on illegality and increase security in the capital.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 4, based on information obtained on the operational route about 2 citizens who were traveling with firearms in a vehicle, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Focus", as a result of which a case of illegal possession of weapons was cracked.
During the operation, at the Babrroi bridge, the Police services stopped the vehicle with the driver, citizen FB, and the passenger EM. During the search of the vehicle, in the passenger door, a firearm, a pistol with combat ammunition, was found, which was suspected to be in the possession of citizen EM. The firearm was seized as material evidence, along with the vehicle.
Following the actions in the case, citizen EM, 31 years old, was arrested for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", and criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen FB, 27 years old, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", both residents of Tirana.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
