A road accident occurred yesterday evening in Vlora, where one person was injured.
The blue uniforms indicate that a taxi and a bicycle collided with each other on 'Dhimitër Konomi' street, in a place called Palazinë.
The taxi driver has been identified as Adriatik Lame, while the cyclist is an American citizen identified as Alex Shower. As a result of the collision, the latter ended up in the hospital. After medical assistance, the 30-year-old left the hospital premises.
Meanwhile, it is learned that after the accident, several other people clashed with each other, punching and kicking each other. The intervention of the officers was necessary to prevent the fight from escalating further.
The police have accompanied several people involved in the conflict to clarify the circumstances of the fight and to take the relevant statements at the police station.
"On 15.07.2025, at around 21:10, on "Dhimitër Konomi" street, in the place called Palazinë, a road accident occurred between a vehicle and a bicycle.
The accident involved the vehicle with license plate AE840T, driven by Adriatik Lame, born on 10.05.1967, as well as American citizen Alex Shower, about 30 years old, who was riding a bicycle.
The American citizen was urgently transported by ambulance to the Vlora Regional Hospital for medical assistance. After receiving treatment, he was discharged from the hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
"Procedural actions were carried out at the scene by Judicial Police Officers. According to preliminary data, the alcohol test for the driver of the vehicle resulted negative: 0.000 mg/", the police announced today.
