The Special Court has sentenced Ismail Zeneli to 15 years in prison, who is accused of wanting to kill brothers Albert and Edmond Nela in Britain for revenge.
Ismail Zeneli benefited from a shortened trial and his sentence was reduced to 10 years in prison, which he will serve in a high-security prison.
The Criminal Court has also sentenced former Crime Chief Dedan Gjoni and 4 others to prison: Bujar Ajeti, Adrian Cenaj (Dedja), Besmir Murati and Albert Prengas.
Summary sentences:
Ismail Zeneli, -10 years imprisonment. (Criminal group, providing conditions for murder, drugs)
Bujar Ajeti, -6 years imprisonment
Adrian Cenaj (Dedja), -4 years imprisonment.
Dedan Gjoni, – 8 years imprisonment.
Besmir Murati – 8 years in prison and Albert Prenga” – 8 years in prison.
Ismail Zeneli is the person who sought to kill, in collaboration with Bujar Gërmiz, Dedan Gjoni and Nuredin Dumani, the two brothers Edmond and Albert Nela.
The two Nela brothers are suspected of having murdered Guximtar Sadri, the brother of (Ismail Zeneli), in 2013 in Great Britain.
Decision of the Criminal Court:
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has submitted to the Court the request with the subject: "Trial of the criminal case against the defendants Ismail Zeneli, Bujar Ajeti, Adrian Cenaj (Dedja), Dedan Gjoni, Besmir Murati and Albert Prenga".
The trial of this case was conducted under the rules of summary trial. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of judges Erjon Çela, Erjon Bani and Bib Ndreca, with decision no. 75, dated 21.11.2025, decided:
The guilty plea of the defendant Ismail Zeneli, for committing the criminal offense of "Drug Trafficking", committed in collaboration with the special form of a structured criminal group, as provided for by Article 283/a/1-28/4 of the Criminal Code and in connection with Article 334/1 of the Criminal Code, his sentence to 13 years of imprisonment.
The guilty plea of the defendant Ismail Zeneli, for committing the criminal offense of "Structured criminal group", provided for by Article 333/a/1 of the Criminal Code and, based on this provision, his sentence to 5 years of imprisonment.
The guilty plea of the defendant Ismail Zeneli, for committing the criminal offense of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", committed in collaboration with the special form of a structured criminal group, provided for by Article 80-28/4 of the Criminal Code and in connection with Article 334/1 of the Criminal Code, his sentence to 9 years of imprisonment.
The guilty plea of the defendant Ismail Zeneli, for committing the criminal offense "Structured criminal group", provided for by Article 333/a/1 of the Criminal Code and based on this provision his sentence of 5 years of imprisonment.
In application of Article 55 of the Criminal Code on determining the punishment for committing several criminal offenses, the sentencing of the defendant Ismail Zeneli to a single sentence of 15 years of imprisonment.
In application of Article 406/1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the above sentence is reduced by 1/3, finally sentencing the defendant Ismail Zeneli to a single final sentence of 10 years imprisonment.
The sentence for defendant Ismail Zeneli will begin on the day of his arrest and will be served in an IEVP, a high-security prison.
