43-year-old Libiran Çollaku has been arrested by police after being caught with over 23 kg of cannabis.
According to the police, it is suspected that the 43-year-old from Kosovo was trafficking drugs to the neighboring country, while the "goods" were found in his vehicle.
He was arrested in Tirana, in cooperation with the Kruja Police. The narcotics and the vehicle were seized as material evidence.
"The police operation codenamed "Transporter" is being finalized, to crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics."
A 43-year-old man was arrested after being caught transporting 23 kg and 65 grams of suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa in a vehicle, which he was suspected of trafficking to Kosovo.
The narcotics and the vehicle are seized.
The Kruja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department, in continuation of actions to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained through operational channels, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Transporter".
As a result, they arrested Kosovar citizen L. Ç., 43 years old, resident of Kosovo.
During the operation, at the place called "Ura e Stafukës", Larushk village, the Police services stopped the "Skoda" type vehicle driven by the 43-year-old, inside which, during the search, several packages with 23 kg and 65 grams of the suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa were found and seized, which is suspected of being trafficked towards Kosovo.
The narcotics and the vehicle were seized as material evidence.
"Investigations are ongoing to fully document this criminal activity and identify other persons involved," the police announced.
