The main "merit" for the resolution goes to Berisha!
Sali Berisha

The man who will be re-elected as head of the opposition unopposed in a week's time made clear the bleak prospects for his party, under his leadership, by declaring himself an enemy of the EU, Great Britain, and the USA.

Berisha's troubles do not always serve for evil. For example, today they served for good. His attack on Ambassador Gonzato and his aggressive language towards him prompted a consensual reaction from all the European Union ambassadors against Sali Berisha, thus strengthening his Anglo-American encirclement.

The British Ambassador the day before publicly denounced him as "persona non grata" in the United Kingdom, treating Sali Berisha as a man punished by British justice and not by British politics. Even harsher were his positions on the opposition's blocking approach as a form of oppositionism.

All of this was an unnecessary tax on the opposition because of Sali Berisha. The man who will be re-elected as head of the opposition unopposed in a week, made clear the dark perspective of his party, under his leadership, by declaring himself an enemy of the EU, Great Britain and the USA.

And he created a mess for himself and the DP that he could have avoided.

On the other hand, Berisha himself has been making stale propaganda for two weeks regarding the approval of IBAR for Albania, supplied by his diplomatic sources in power. It is normal that the 27-nation process has its hesitations that often depend on the political predisposition of the political forces in power in the countries where the enlargement causes political problems. Fortunately, Albania is not in a state of fatal aggression and perhaps at the end of the month, spurred on by Berisha's careless joy for the IBAR review process, it may be approved. Now Berisha has understood this and apparently wants to say after his election that "they approved IBAR for us because I was re-elected as leader of the DP".

All this aggression against the EU and the international reactions against it have, of course, created a climate of despair in the DP and have tarnished the process of its re-election as if it were a funeral and not a day of celebration, as it is for every party.

Therefore, do not be surprised by today's resolution and do not create conspiracy theories about Gazi, Taulant, Romina or others. The main merit for the resolution goes to Berisha's anti-Western battle and his stale propaganda for blocking the Albania process, which is not true.

Now that he realized that he couldn't stop the integration process, that the EU couldn't blackmail him by attacking ambassadors, and that he couldn't remove the "non grata" even with money, he cut it short and said let's accept this resolution because maybe by the end of the month they'll congratulate me for this and sell it as a salute for re-election. That's all.

This is the good that Berisha's troubles produce for Albania in this case. Not every bad thing for him brings bad things for Albania. In this case, he has realized that the only way left for him is to pretend to rejoice with other Albanians for Albania.
