Tensions between Israel and Iran are rapidly escalating, as Israeli authorities have imposed extraordinary security measures across the country.
The Israeli government has ordered the closure of all schools on Monday, following Iran's ballistic missile attack on Israeli territory.
The Israel Civil Defense Command has urged citizens to stay near shelters and be ready to implement any new instructions from the authorities, amid fears of a further escalation of the conflict.
Meanwhile, Tel Aviv has warned of a strong response to Tehran. According to CNN, two Israeli sources have stated that Israel is preparing a "strong" response after the recent rocket attacks.
The Israeli military announced that its air defense systems have intercepted all ballistic missiles launched by Iran so far. According to Israeli sources, at least 10 missiles were neutralized during the waves of attacks.
The Israel Defense Forces stated that operations to identify and neutralize threats continue without interruption.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the attacks, claiming that Iranian missiles and drones had hit targets in northern Israel. In a strong statement, the IRGC warned that the attacks would not stop with this operation.
"Waves of missiles and drones will continue to be launched without interruption for the next seven days, until the enemy is restrained and stops its crimes. Any attack on Iranian territory will be met with a devastating and overwhelming response, beyond all expectations. This operation is not a passing event, but the beginning of a full week of continuous attacks," the Revolutionary Guards statement said.
According to Tehran, the waves of missiles and drones will continue over the next seven days and any strike on Iranian territory will receive a much harsher response.
