Ben Blushi: DMZ, on the border between two worlds!

The army of either Korea is not allowed to enter this zone, which is why it is called a demilitarized zone, meaning without a military presence.

The DMZ is a strip of land 4 kilometers wide and 250 kilometers long that separates South Korea from North Korea.

The army of either Korea is not allowed to enter this zone, which is why it is called a demilitarized zone, meaning without a military presence.

Since almost no one has passed through there for more than 70 years since the two Koreas were separated, the DMZ has become a natural garden where vegetation flourishes and all kinds of animals and birds come from all over the world and find there a paradise emptied of nature's fiercest enemies, humans.

During almost a century of hostility, the two Koreas have planted the DMZ with millions of mines to prevent each other's armies from crossing the area to invade their brother enemy.

The biggest wonder is how millions of birds and animals live in the DMZ undisturbed by mines that were apparently created by humans just to kill people.
