But the pearl of all was the price of oil. Today, the Transparency Board raised oil to 218 lek per liter, while Rama promised that the government would intervene with "technological means."
" Opportunities have been created for us and this means that the economy is functioning and we learned, I believe, that the economy is not simply related to what we do here, but also to what happens far away from us. We learned this in the pandemic, with the war in Ukraine and we are seeing it again with oil being affected by the war in Iran. On the other hand, we have learned that we cannot sit back and say, look, this is the situation. Because whether with the pandemic or the earthquake that happened, or with the war in Ukraine, we have made reactions that have relieved people and helped the economy not to collapse. We are the only country that has reduced the price of energy. We are preparing for a big change for oil. The state is stepping in, first, to guarantee reserves and influence the price of oil by bringing it to reasonable parameters. We are preparing to introduce some innovations to the oil market that have to do with new technological capacities ," said Rama.
