Albania that is 'committing suicide' with silence: The demographic crisis that is extinguishing our nationality
Albania is fading. Not metaphorically, but physically. The population is in free fall. The latest census is not just a statistic, but the first act of the funeral of hope: hundreds of thousands fewer Albanians since 2011. In a normal country, this would raise national alarm. In Albania, officials pretend not to hear.
While developed countries plan for aging, Albania simply sees itself disappearing. No more children are being born, no policies are being built for the family, there are no conditions for a dignified life. But what is there? There is only propaganda. And silence.
Our politicians are more interested in show than in understanding the drama that is being played out before their eyes. They talk about "Albania 2030", but they don't tell us who will be here then. Their policies, if we can call them that, are pushing the young people out. Tired, disappointed and convinced that this country no longer offers any reason to live.
This is no longer a social crisis; it is state collapse. A country without people is no longer a state. It is just a territory administered by an elite that holds power over the void.
The data doesn't lie: fertility is at its lowest levels in history; rural areas have become ghost towns; cities have become transit stations for those waiting for their plane to leave.
Faced with this situation, Albania needs a national demographic strategy, not advertising spots. It needs bold policies for young mothers, for young people who want to build a life here, for the return of the diaspora. It needs honesty. And vision.
But as long as the country is run by politicians who see no further than their own noses, Albania will continue to lose its citizens; silently, without a sound, like a nation slowly dying./ Pamphlet

E lexoj rregullisht por si dhe ne kete rast me duhet te permend se vizion dhe ndershmeri po manifeston vetem levizja Bashke te ciles dhe ju cuditerisht nuk i kushtoni pothuajse asnje lajm. Thjesht nuk mund ta kuptoj. Megjithate respekte per punen tuaj.
Duke lexuar komentin e mesiperm, dhe une si lexues i rregullt i Pamfletit dhe plotesisht dakort me kete editorual tuajin i bashkohem pyetjes me siper. Pse nuk i jepni hapesire Levizjes Bashke kur duket e vetmja qe ka plan serioz per te bere shtet social?
Të nderuar! Editorialisti desh e humbi kokën nga krimi i organizuar , mu në mes të ditës dhe për shak të detyrës që kryen. Nuk mjafton ta lexosh 'Pamfletin', por edhe të kuptosh që 'Pamfleti' është portal e jo gazetë, nga këto të stazhionuarat në shërbim të pushtetit e të oligarkisë. 'Pamfleti' nuk po bën avokatinë e qeverisë, bile as të opozitës. 'Pamfleti' ka investiguar, ka mbledh dhe ka bërë transparente me dhjetra e dhjetra denoncime për bëmat e pothuajse gjithë ministrave të qeverisë ,ish qeverisë, mafies rajonale dhe ndërkombëtare. Atë që të gjitha gazetat e kohës së bashku nuk e kanë bërë për 35 vjet. Lëvizja Bashkë dhe çdo parti tjetër e re, nuk duhet 'të çojë shishen e qumështit" te dera e 'Pamfletit', sepse nesër mund të jenë vetë të zgjedhurit e saj në pushtet që do vëzhgohen dhe denoncohen nga 'Pamfleti' . Kreditet e çdo partie të re, rriten ose ulen në varësi të veprimeve politike, angazhimeve për kauzat qytetare dhe për shtetndërtim. Nuk ka shtet social, kur nuk ka 'Shtet'.
