Elisa Spiropali's controlled outburst against Edi Rama has caused a generally positive reaction in Albania's dinosaur-filled political desert.
In the total absence of conventional political initiatives and activity, our scene, apart from Edi Rama, Sali Berisha, or the characters that appear from the "Glass Cage" of the GJKKO, only has misguided people who are caught up in endless television talk shows and podcasts.
An empathetic reaction to any opposing or oppositional movement towards great powers is to be expected, just as envy and jealousy coming from different directions is to be expected.
However, the essential question that arises and the dilemma that arises is: does Elisa have friends?
Who is behind her in this irreversible movement of "Mamica"? Is she a lone rider, a spokesperson, or the leader of a new political group within the SP?
So far, there is no clear information about the movement that Elisa Spiropali has started, but judging by the reactions of relevant circles, it seems that Elisa is not dancing alone.
There are public reflectors and interceptors that receive and give signals before and after the former head of diplomacy's movements. There is media and careful curation, adapted to technology, of her messages. It seems clear that the way the messages are written, their digital distribution, as well as the curation of the technological impact through the monsters of the moment: likes and comments, are calculated.
Precisely by looking at the political environment and listening to the rumors circulating, it is clear that we are not dealing with a lone knight at all, but with a real team, with an interest group that stands behind her and that may soon declare battle within the SP.
In all likelihood, we are dealing with the group, faction, clan or lobby that Erion Veliaj has led within the majority so far. A group that has had considerable coverage, especially in circles of power, administration and, undoubtedly, the Socialist Party.
Currently, this lobby is sidelined and marginalized after Lali's imprisonment, but it still retains its potential weight and mass. It is seen more in the superstructure and less in the territory.
This shortage in the territory has also come as a result of the massive purges carried out by Edi Rama after the launch of the investigations and arrest of Erion Veliaj. The latter, in turn, had carried out the same purges in the SP after the attack on Saimir Tahiri.
So Edi Rama had an acidic environment ready for Veliaj's people within the capital's SP. On the other hand, Rama is very amused when subordinates fight with each other.
But, although marginalized in socialist organizations, Veliaj's people are still in the territory, they know the situation and have the membership and voter database.
So, they have every opportunity to start plowing the land, as they have no shortage of people and tools.
But who could be the most important people behind Spiropali? There are some who could be considered possible, such as Rama's Fuga, Bushka, the former MP, or the dismissed and sacked directors of the Municipality of Tirana and many other directorates.
However, one should not expect a major movement for the 2027 local elections, where they will likely try to infiltrate as much of the territory as possible. The real battle will be the 2029 elections, when they will seek to take their share of the SP, after the "big bang" that is expected to occur from the departure or overthrow of Edi Rama.
This entire movement is nothing more than a "MJAFT 2.0", a scheme that once proved effective in taking power from Fatos Nano and torpedoing a new generation in the SP leadership.
This time, they will have to appease and bring closer the Nanoists angry with Edi Rama, such as Arben Malaj and other senators who have been disillusioned by the SP. However, many of the latter have not yet extinguished their anger towards the Dashitists, which they clearly showed with their hatred towards Veliaj when he was hit.
Edi Rama can use this situation to manipulate them.
