Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for increased pressure on Russia after recent attacks in the city of Dnieper, stressing that Russian aggression can only be stopped through joint international measures.
In a post on the X platform, Zelensky stated that the consequences of the attack are severe and called for the imposition of further sanctions on Moscow.
"Russian attacks can only be stopped through joint sanctions by Ukraine and our partners," Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian president, the damage caused by the attack on the Dnieper is considerable, while authorities are continuing efforts to deal with the situation on the ground.
Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) units are engaged in rescue operations and consequence management. Around 70 rescue teams, 40 police officers and nearly 30 technical vehicles are working in the affected areas to assist residents and assess the damage.
The latest attack comes at a time when fighting between Ukraine and Russia continues with no signs of easing, while Kiev continues to seek greater support from Western allies.
