A tragic accident has rocked the city of Patras in Greece. It was reported that a 20-year-old man and his 46-year-old father lost their lives after a serious motorcycle crash in the Rio area.
According to preliminary information, the motorcycle on which the father and son were traveling went off the road and overturned for reasons that have not yet been clarified by the authorities.
Greek media reports that the collision with the protective barrier was extremely strong. As a result of the injuries sustained, the 20-year-old died at the scene. Meanwhile, the 46-year-old was urgently transported to the University Hospital of Patras in Rio, but could not survive the injuries he suffered and passed away.
A tense situation was created at the scene of the accident, while vehicle traffic was temporarily stopped to allow emergency teams to intervene. Ambulances transported the injured to the hospital, but the doctors' efforts were unsuccessful for the 46-year-old.
According to reports so far, both victims were wearing protective helmets at the time of the accident. Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances that led to this family tragedy.
