Three members of a Bangladeshi family were stabbed to death in their home in the Casalotti area, on the western outskirts of Rome. The victims are a 38-year-old man, his 39-year-old wife and their five-year-old daughter. The only survivor is the family's 20-year-old son, who was injured and admitted to the University Hospital "Policlinico Gemelli". According to doctors, his condition is not serious.
The incident took place in an apartment on the first floor of a three-story building on Via Montiglio. The investigation is being led by the Rome Police.

The alarm was raised by neighbours.
According to Italian media, at around 10pm yesterday evening, neighbours heard screams coming from the apartment and then saw a person, or possibly more than one, running away in the darkness. They immediately notified the police and the 118 emergency service.
When medical teams arrived at the scene, five-year-old girl Alicia and her parents, Kamal and Arzu Udiu, had no signs of life.
According to preliminary information, Kamal had been living in Italy for about 15 years and worked in a supermarket in the Boccea area. His wife and daughter had joined him about two years ago.
The survivor is the main witness.
The only person who can help reconstruct the event is the 20-year-old boy, Onion, who has been questioned by investigators.
Experts from the Scientific Police and officers from the Mobile Squad, led by Roberto Pititto, have examined the crime scene and are collecting evidence to identify the perpetrator.
One of the main leads in the investigation is that the victims knew the perpetrator. According to initial suspicions, it is a friend of the 20-year-old, who is currently being sought throughout Rome. Several witnesses have stated that they saw him running away from the building. They said he was wearing a blue T-shirt.
It is suspected that the perpetrator entered the apartment as someone he knew.
According to the preliminary reconstruction of the incident, the 20-year-old's parents had allowed the suspect to enter the apartment without suspecting his intentions, as he had been there before.
An argument then broke out, culminating in the stabbing of the family. Investigators suspect that the parents, and possibly the eldest son, tried desperately to protect the five-year-old girl, but were unable to save her.
Police are analyzing footage from security cameras in the area, including those from the residential complex where the crime occurred, as well as the victims' and survivors' cell phones, in the hope that recent communications may help identify the perpetrator.
Relatives and acquaintances are being questioned.
Investigators have questioned friends and acquaintances of the family, while a detailed search of the apartment has been conducted to verify whether any items are missing that could help shed light on the motive for the crime.
Relatives and neighbors of the family gathered outside the apartment, shocked by the event. Meanwhile, forensic experts continued working at the crime scene in protective clothing to preserve evidence.
The perpetrator is also being sought with drones.
The search for the suspect continued throughout the night in the forest areas around Casalotti. Police used drones equipped with infrared cameras to search the terrain.
Investigators do not rule out the possibility that the suspect has already left Rome, although there is no official confirmation yet. All places where he may have taken refuge or received assistance are being verified.
