"Being against the US is difficult," Iranian president: We are not
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Tehran is not pursuing humiliating diplomacy towards the United States, stressing that confrontation with the world's greatest power requires accepting economic and political difficulties.

Quoted by Iranian state media, Pezeshkian said that “if we oppose the strongest power in the world, we must accept the difficulties.” He added that the Iranian people must endure the economic and political pressure that comes from confronting Washington.

The Iranian president blamed Israel as the main cause of instability in the region. He noted that foreign powers had expected unrest and protests inside Iran after the attacks by the US and Israel, but were surprised by the continued popular support for the government, which remains strong more than 80 days after the conflict began.

Pezeshkian's statements come at a time of high tensions with the United States and Israel. He has reiterated that Iran is ready for talks, but not under humiliating conditions or pressure, while defending the country's national dignity and sovereignty, especially on the nuclear issue. According to him, any possible agreement must respect Iran's rights and interests.
