Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a threatening message to Europe over its reluctance to reach a peace deal in Ukraine under these conditions. Putin declared that if Europe wants to fight, then Russia is ready now.
Speaking after an investment forum in Moscow, the Russian president said that Europeans do not have a peaceful agenda and are on the side of war, and demanded demands from the war in Ukraine that are unacceptable to Russia.
" The Europeans are also hindering the US administration and Donald Trump in their efforts to reach a peace agreement through negotiations ," Putin says.
He claims that the city of Pokrovsk is now fully under the control of the Russian military, after Moscow's defense ministry released footage that apparently shows Russian soldiers waving flags in the city on the front line.
"The recent attacks on Russian tankers are 'piracy' and Russia will expand attacks on Ukrainian ports and ships in response ," Putin added.
