"He's killing her!"/ 29-year-old woman murdered in Milan by
Pamela Genini

A 29-year-old woman, Pamela Genini from Bergamo, was stabbed to death on Tuesday night in the Gorla neighborhood on the outskirts of Milan by her partner, Gianluca Soncin, 52. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m., when neighbors heard her screams for help and notified the police.

Patrol officers and firefighters intervened by breaking down the door of the third-floor apartment, where they found the woman lying on the ground and the perpetrator still with a knife in his hand.

According to witnesses, the perpetrator had pulled the woman onto the terrace and stabbed her several times in front of the neighbors. He continued the attack even after the police arrived and attempted suicide with two stab wounds to the throat, but survived and is out of danger at Niguarda Hospital.

Shortly before the attack, Pamela had called her ex-partner, telling him about her fear of Sonci, and had also contacted the emergency number.

The ex-partner, shocked, confirmed to the police that she intended to separate from the perpetrator, with whom she had had a year-long relationship filled with conflicts and psychological violence.

Neighbors reported violent behavior from the 52-year-old before, although there had been no official complaints. It is learned that a few months ago the police had intervened after a similar incident. Soncin also has a criminal record for fraud, following an arrest in 2010 as part of an investigation into tax evasion with luxury vehicles.

The Milan prosecutor's office has launched an investigation, led by prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo. Meanwhile, police have seized the luxury vehicle in which the perpetrator arrived at the scene.

Pamela Genini, who lived between Monte Carlo, Milan and Dubai, could occasionally be seen at home in the province of Bergamo in Sant'Omobono, or at a hairdresser in Ponte Giurino, a village between the municipalities of Berbenno and Bedulita.

Online, Pamela Genini described herself as a "young model and entrepreneur." Together with her friend Elisa Bortolotti, she had created a bikini line: "EP SheLux is a Made in Italy brand," the brand's website says, "born from the idea of two very creative friends with a passion for fashion and the sea."
