On the 49th day of the citizen protest against the government, journalist Osman Stafa spoke to the protesters, listing the problems facing citizens in the country.
In his speech, Stafa criticized the state of the public healthcare system, claiming that hospitals continue to face a lack of equipment and medications, while public funds are being directed towards projects that are not related to the priority needs of citizens, such as the 4 million euro investment for the Kanye West concert.
The journalist also mentioned specific cases of patients who, according to him, have not received the necessary treatment in public health institutions, while he also raised concerns about environmental damage, accusing institutions of interference in the country's rivers. In conclusion, he emphasized that the protest, according to him, stems from civic dissatisfaction and not from political interests.
"A few days ago I published a list where QSUT was asking for donations, and your money goes to concerts, to the Garden of Eden, to projects that we don't see. After I published them, I expected these people to remember. What do they do? Nothing.
Shalsi, a member of the Socialist Party, said that those devices exist. He lied. No device has been sent to the QSUT, there is nothing like that for patients. A scanner has not been working for years. Patients are wandering around. They go to the emergency room at the QSUT and end up in a private hospital.
The oncology hospital is the most criminal hospital possible. There is a shortage of medications. Other medications are two months, two months not. Is cancer cured like this?
They find the opportunities themselves, take money from the state budget and go to foreign hospitals, or take the money stolen from Albanians. Why don't they stay in public hospitals when they have problems? A law should be made so that they can be treated in public hospitals and you can see whether the hospitals will be fixed or not. Our mothers and sisters who suffer from gynecological cancer suffer from a lack of equipment. Cancer doesn't wait. When these people can't cure our mothers and wives, do they have the heart to come to us for money?

I have received thousands of SMS from Albanians telling what has happened to the rivers of Albania. They have destroyed them with hydroelectric power plants. They have changed their course. These are the politicians, the government that has stolen this nation. This protest is your protest, not that of any party, not that of any individual. Each of you is a leader, an organizer! And to move on to the real organizers, those who made you come here, do you know who they are? It is corruption. It has enriched the government class. It is depopulation. The fear in Albania that we will be fired has been killed.
But this square is full and it is together, there is no power that can remove you from your job. You are part of history. Stop listening to how you have been deceived for 36 years, listen to your heart, to the flag, to Albania. God bless you. God bless Albania, the most beautiful country we have and the most beautiful flag we have. We will not leave it in the hands of thieves! ", said journalist Stafa.
