Tehran has rejected the claims raised a short while ago by US President Donald Trump regarding the agreement reached between the parties.
According to what the Iranian state news agency "Fars" reports, Donald Trump's statement is a mixture of truth and lies and is an attempt to portray a "fake victory".
The sources added that it has become clear to almost everyone that his claims are invalid. In his post on Social Truth, Trump said he was making a final decision in the Situation Room, where he outlined a list of demands, including reopening the Strait of Hormuz to Iran without tariffs and Iran agreeing to never have a nuclear weapon or bomb.
Fars described several contradictory claims from Iranian sources:
Strait of Hormuz : The sources say there is no such clause in a US-Iran deal that says Iran must reopen the strait without paying fees. They added that Iran has stressed that once the strait is open, it can monitor and inspect ships.
Iran's nuclear program : Sources say there is no clause in the deal requiring Iran to dismantle or, as Trump described it, "destroy" its nuclear materials.
Iranian media added that Trump overlooked several key clauses:
Frozen Assets : An immediate payment of $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets, and Iran will not enter into further negotiations until this occurs.
Ceasefire in Lebanon : Sources indicate that Iran is still determined to end the fighting in Lebanon as part of any agreement.
Until the issues are "resolved," the sources say Iran will not enter the next phase of talks with the US, regarding "sanctions lifting and the nuclear issue."
