From 2015 until the latest case with 56 poisoned students, "SORI-AL" has continued to maintain a monopoly on food at the Police Academy, while the millions of tenders have not stopped even after the scandals and criminal precedents of its owner.
But this is not the first time that Nikolin Jaka's "SORI-AL" company has poisoned students at the Police Academy with expired and contaminated food. There have also been cases of poisoning in nurseries, kindergartens, dormitories, hospitals, the army and prisons, where this company has received and continues to receive millions of euros in tenders.
For police students, the case of May 6, 2026 is the third time, after 2015, that Nikolin Jaka's "SORI-AL" company has poisoned them with food, endangering their lives, while being tolerated by the Academy's leaders, with whom it has bargained.
The first case is the poisoning of 63 police students on May 18, 2015. This poisoning was attempted to be kept secret through checks from businessman Nikolin Jaka, given to the leaders, but was discovered when the students' condition worsened and they were sent to the "Mother Teresa" Hospital Center, Tirana.
The second case is the poisoning of 30 police students, on March 3, 2021, when again the leaders of the Police Academy, in bargaining with businessman Nikolin Jaka, tried to keep it secret, but the students' condition worsened and they were sent to the "Mother Teresa" Hospital Center, Tirana.
The third case , also at the Police Academy, is the poisoning of 56 students on May 6, 2026, which the Academy's leaders attempted to cover up, but the event was discovered after the students ended up in the hospital.
In all three cases, the food from which the police students were poisoned was prepared and supplied by the "SORI-AL" company of the tender tycoon, Nikolin Jaka, while the leaders of the Police Academy, the General Directorate of Police and the Ministry of Interior have left him the monopoly on food supply.
It was said that the police arrested two employees of the "SORI-AL" company and declared the administrator Alma Tafani wanted, but even after the poisoning, the police students continue to eat the dangerous food that Nikolin Jaka brings them.
According to the Law "On Public Procurement", companies with owners convicted of corruption, trafficking, and economic-financial crimes should not be accepted to participate in tenders, especially in sectors related to national security.
Meanwhile, the company "SORI-AL" continues to receive millions of euros in tenders, although Nikolin Jaka was convicted of corruption with tenders when he was Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works.
In addition to the company "SORI-AL", Nikolin Jaka also owns the food companies "AgroAl International", "Agro Intexo", "Zepa Group" and the two companies "AGS" sh.pk and "KPL" sh.pk, whose names he has changed several times.
