Berisha calls media owners 'mafiosi': are Shkëlzen Berisha and
Shkelzen Berisha and Bashkim Ulaj /

After Ervin Salianji's interview on 'TV News 24', the DP leader attacked Irfan Hysenbelliu's media group, but forgot to mention his son's and Bashkim Ulaj's televisions; which have received tower permits, billion-dollar tenders and public assets from the Berisha and Rama governments, while preaching war against corruption...

It was Ervin Salianj's move that forced Sali Berisha to remove the mask of "media freedom lover" and appear as he has been and is in reality: an enemy of the media that does not serve him.

For several days, Sali Berisha has added the media group owned by Irfan Hysenbelliu to the list of enemy media, calling it a "mafia group", because "TV News 24" and "Balkan Web" interviewed Ervin Salianji and broadcast chronicles from his meetings with democrats in the areas.

After the reaction of media staff and several media freedom organizations, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, trembled his tongue, saying that journalists are not mafia, but media owners.

Sali Berisha said that media owners are the most dangerous mafias against free speech, because they receive permits for towers, tens of millions of euros in road tenders, have taken public assets, and have become concessionaires and strategic investors.

For 3 decades, linked in interests and favors with the media that make him cool, and in personal conflict with critical media, Sali Berisha is well aware of the relationships of interests between the head of government and media owners, some of which were financed, created and empowered by him as mafia clan media.

While Sali Berisha called the media owners "mafiosi", we are asking a question: - Are Shkëlzen Berisha and Bashkim Ulaj, owners of the "Syri" and "A2 CNN" televisions, mafiosi?

After Sali Berisha's removal from power, his son Shkëlzen Berisha opened his own private television station, openly serving the Democratic Party, which represents and supports the political and economic interests of the "Berisha" family and a mafia clan close to him.

Mafiosi do not have "horns", but are clans, families of individuals who benefit from billions of wealth from the state when they are in power; and who create underground connections and cooperation with the opposing power structure when they are in opposition and continue their personal benefits.

Is Shkëlzen Berisha a mafia figure, who uses his "Syri" television as supposedly free media against the corrupt government of Edi Rama, and as a megaphone for the personal politics of his father, the leader of the Democratic Party?

Because Sali Berisha called media owners who obtain permits for towers, tenders, assets, concessions and permits as strategic investors and limit freedom of speech "mafiosi against free speech."

And Shkëlzen Berisha, on his television screen, preaches freedom of speech and the fight against corruption and organized crime, while behind the screen, he receives from Edi Rama building permits for towers, land for resorts, villa complexes and maintains strong ties with crime groups.

Even during his father's term as prime minister, he has a history of involvement in the CEZ-DIA mafia group, the Fuel Dyeing PPP, the National Lottery; the bloody business in Gërdec; the land and construction permits deals in Tirana, Durrës and the coast; the family partnership with Rezart Taçi in ARMO, in the towers of the "Partizani" complex and the 10 "laundry" companies with Damir Fazlliç.

Mr. Berisha!

Is the oligarch Bashkim Ulaj, owner of "A2 CNN" television, a mafia member?

Because Bashkim Ulaj, during your government, has received around 2 billion euros in tenders, PPPs, assets, construction permits, hundreds of hectares of land for quarries, and extracted sand and gravel without permission from rivers.

For 20 years, Bashkim Ulaj has been giving a share of its profits to your family; it has donated luxury apartments and offices to you in its towers; it has furnished your villa in Lalëz; it has financed and continues to finance the salaries of the DP administration and protests and congresses.

But even during the 13 years of SP power, Bashkim Ulaj has obtained permits for towers, hotels, resorts, millions of euros in tenders and the 1.3 billion euro concession for the Thumanë-Kashar toll road; in bargaining with Edi Rama and in exchange for propaganda on "A2 CNN" television./ Pamphlet
