Murder of Polish professor, evidence revealed/ How the perpetrator met the two

Other details have emerged from the murder of the Polish professor, while the crime was ordered by his ex-wife, after the latter lost a lawsuit regarding the custody of the children, but also the division of income from the businesses they had previously owned as a couple.

Greek media write that the strongest evidence the Greek police have is photos on the woman's cell phone, which were recovered because she had deleted them and an agreement was reached through an app.

The lawyer for the 43-year-old woman who allegedly orchestrated the murder of her ex-husband said that "his client took a photo of the victim because he was looking at her."

"The police accuse my client of inciting the crime. What's the point of deleting the photo? The custody issue was resolved. She had no reason to kill him. Her request was fulfilled. Not only did she have no motive, but the death was at her own expense. What financial changes? Now she has financial problems," the lawyer told Greek media.

Regarding the perpetrator, the lawyer emphasized that "I have spoken to him. His situation begins many years ago. It is a very difficult story. Believing that the problem will end, he created more than ten. My client is in shock."

What did the self-proclaimed perpetrator of the crime say?

In the statement the 35-year-old gave to the Homicide Department police, he initially appears to be exonerating his partner and the victim's ex-wife from the crime, while claiming that it was his decision, which he made about a month and a half ago. He wanted this nightmare that he and his partner were experiencing due to the couple's troubled relationship, to end.

He said he went to the Omonia area and bought the pistol with which he killed the victim, and then told his partner that he was going to Nafplio to spend a few days on vacation.

He went to the Tolos area of Nafplio and initially came into contact with his Bulgarian accomplice, whom he described as his friend, who in turn introduced him to his two Albanian accomplices. All three foreigners have been arrested and charged as accomplices in the murder.

Together they got into a luxury SUV and began the journey to Athens. As he specifically claims, he considered the fact that he was in Athens at the time as an excellent opportunity, which made him decide to kill the 43-year-old.

Initially, they headed to the Haidar area. There, they received information from the victim's ex-wife that the couple had gone to a child psychologist with their two children from their marriage.

Initially, he came there to set up a checkpoint for them, but since they were unsuccessful, he was informed by the woman herself, who is accused of inciting the murder, that the victim was heading towards Shën Parashqev, specifically towards Irini Street, to pick up the children from the house.

Then he followed her. He had taken his 14-year-old son's cell phone and was using it to talk to his partner. He had taken a photo showing the victim's movements shortly before the murder.

He got out of the luxury vehicle and shot him at least 4 times, fatally wounding him in the chest, abdomen and back. While, as he described it, his two Albanian associates were calling on him to back off.

It is noted that he described having a very bad relationship with the victim. Specifically, he had attacked her again in the past, and in May 2024 he had beaten her, resulting in the 43-year-old filing a lawsuit against him.

As the 35-year-old said, to provide an alibi, he had left his mobile phone in his associates' car, so that his movements would not be recorded by the Argolida antennas and it would not appear that he was in Athens (...). /Pamphlet adapted from Newsbomb.gr/
