Race for BKH head, SPAK announces candidates for the next step; what to expect

The race for the head of the BKH continues, while the 7 candidates who were selected from the first phase will continue the process with another phase, on July 22.

Reports indicate that the 7 candidates qualified to continue the competition will appear at SPAK where they will undergo the second phase of testing: the essay exam.

This is part of the selection procedure, where candidates will be evaluated with points, which will then be attached to the evaluations from the physical tests.

The physical tests were held on July 10 and included exercises, push-ups, a 300-meter sprint and a 2.4-kilometer run.

The BKH is currently headed by Aida Hajnaj, whose mandate ends on August 31. This means that SPAK and KLP must select the name that will lead the National Bureau of Investigation after the departure of the current director by this date.

In the race for the head of the BKH are: Andi Pogaçe, Artur Beu, Elton Kërluku, Gentian Ndoi, Gentjan Shehaj, Gledis Nano and Joni Keta.

When the competition for the position of Head of the BKH was opened, 13 candidates expressed interest, but 6 of them were disqualified. Among the disqualified names was Haki Çako, former Director General of the State Police.
